On May 15, 2000, Troop 14 was chartered by the Versailles United Methodist Church (VUMC) as an extension of the church's youth program.  The original chartered scouts consisted of  8 boys including 4 Webelos crossing over from Pack 14.

As of today, Troop 14 has 24 registered scouts including  Life, Star and First Class Scouts.  

3 First Class Scouts represented the troop at the 2001 National Boy Scouts Jamboree at Fort AP Hill from July 22 to August 1, 2001.

On September 15, our scouts cancelled their scheduled camping trip and spent all evening at the VUMC making ribbons to be given out  the next day in remembrance of the WTC victims.  Donations of $1500 were collected for the WTC Victim Relief Fund.
